Rookies (6U, 7U, 8U)
For girls ages 6, 7 and 8. One practice during the week and one (1) game on Saturday morning. Coaches will pitch to players if the pitcher is struggling to throw strikes.
Minors (9U/10U)
For girls age 9 and 10. This is the first year that children pitch to one another under modified pitching rules. After 5 walks in an inning, the coach has the option of changing pitchers or asking the opponent's team coach to pitch to their players. Pitchers can throw 6 innings per week. Limited base stealing is permitted (3 per inning). Bunting is permitted. Ten players alternate in the field of play. Everyone bats in the line-up. Players bat until three outs are made. Pitchers rest rules are applied here to ensure the health of the child. Scores of each game and standings are kept. At the end of the regular season, there are playoff games.
Majors (11U/12U)
For girls age 11 and 12. Children pitch to one another under standard pitching rules (3 strikes and 4 balls).. Pitchers can throw 6 innings per game and six per week. Unrestricted base stealing is permitted. Bunting is permitted. Ten players alternate in the field of play. Everyone bats in the line-up. Players bat until three outs are made. Pitchers rest rules are applied here to ensure the health of the child. Scores of each game and standings are kept. At the end of the regular season, there are playoff games.
