Rookies

For girls age 7 and 8.  

 

Minors

For girls age 9 and 10.  This is the first year that children pitch to one another under modified pitching rules (5 balls for a walk, 6 balls when bases are loaded).  After 5 walks in an inning, the coach has the option of changing pitchers or asking the opponents team coach to pitch to their players.  Pitchers can throw 6 innings per game and six per week.  Limited base stealing is permitted (3 per inning).  Bunting is permitted.  Ten players alternate in the field of play.  Everyone bats in the line-up.  Players bat until three outs are made.  Pitchers rest rules are applied here to ensure the health of the child. Scores of each game and standings are kept.  At the end of the regular season, playoffs and a championship is held.

Majors 

For girls age 11 and 12.  Children pitch to one another under standard pitching rules (3 strikes and 4 balls)..  Pitchers can throw 6 innings per game and six per week. Unrestricted base stealing is permitted.  Bunting is permitted.  Ten players alternate in the field of play.  Everyone bats in the line-up.  Players bat until three outs are made.
